Tags help you understand why someone joined your audience and what they may want next.
Useful tag types
Start with a small set of practical tags:
- Product interest.
- Lead magnet source.
- Customer status.
- Launch waitlist.
- Coaching interest.
Avoid creating a new tag for every tiny behavior. Too many tags become hard to use.
Name tags clearly
Use names you will understand later, such as course-waitlist or coaching-interest.
Consistent names make exports and filtering easier.
Segment by intent
The most useful segments usually reflect intent. Someone who joined a waitlist needs different follow-up than someone who downloaded a free checklist.
Review tags regularly
Remove or merge tags that no longer help you make decisions.
