Good course structure lowers support questions and improves completion.
Use action-based lesson names
Name lessons after the job students will do:
- Set up your workspace.
- Write your offer promise.
- Publish your checkout page.
Action names are clearer than vague labels like "Part one".
Keep prerequisites in order
Do not ask students to complete a task before they have the context or assets needed. If lesson three depends on lesson two, keep them in that order.
Use modules as milestones
Each module should feel like a milestone. Students should know what changed after completing it.
Remove duplicate lessons
If two lessons teach the same idea, combine them. Repetition is useful only when it helps practice.
Review as a student
Read the course outline from top to bottom and ask where a beginner would get stuck. Fix those gaps before publishing.
