Troubleshoot checkout

Fix the most common reasons a customer cannot complete a purchase.

Checkout problems usually come from payment setup, product configuration or customer payment details.

Check your payment setup

Confirm Stripe is connected and does not require more information. If your account is restricted, customers may not be able to complete checkout.

Check the product

Make sure the product is active, priced correctly and available from the storefront. If the product has required files or booking settings, confirm those are complete.

Ask for the exact error

If a customer reports a problem, ask for:

  • The product they tried to buy.
  • The approximate time.
  • Their country.
  • The error message they saw.
  • Whether another payment method worked.

Do not ask customers to send full card details.

Try a clean browser session

Some issues are browser-specific. Ask the customer to retry in a private window or another browser if the setup looks correct.

Escalate with context

If the issue persists, collect the details above before reporting it. Clear context makes checkout issues much faster to diagnose.
