Understand payouts

Learn how to think about payment timing, balances and payout readiness.

Payout timing depends on Stripe, your account status, your country and the payment method used by the customer.

Payment is not always payout

A completed purchase means the customer paid successfully. A payout is the later transfer from Stripe to your bank account.

There can be a delay between those events.

Check Stripe requirements

If payouts pause or look delayed, check whether Stripe needs more information. Verification requirements are common for payment accounts.

Watch refunds and disputes

Refunds, disputes or negative balances can affect payout amounts. Keep product descriptions accurate to reduce avoidable refund requests.

Reconcile with orders

Use Mercato orders to understand what was sold. Use Stripe for payout timing, bank transfers and processor-level payment details.

Plan cash flow

Do not assume launch revenue will land in your bank immediately. Build payout timing into your planning.
